History

Around 2010, there was an urgent need for aptly qualified teachers after English-medium schools started mushrooming at an alarming rate in and around Palanpur. But as there were no English-medium colleges in the city, aspirants either had to commute to far-off places or relocate. In 2013, Vidyamandir instituted the first English-medium B.Ed. college in Palanpur with Smt. Meenaben and Ashwinbhai Panalal Kothari’s financial support.

Our Smt. Savitaben Panalal Kothari English Medium College of Secondary Education is a self-financed institution associated with UGC, NCTE, and the Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan. We offer a two-year professional degree course that qualifies one to teach in the upper primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools. Our distinguished teaching faculty and curriculum prepare students to become remarkable educators who are principled, knowledgeable, tech-savvy, and ingenious. The continuous practical experience they gain from the schools managed by our trust gives them the prowess to accommodate students and learn effectively.
