Banaskantha had no provisions for educating special children until 1984. Besides, educating girls, that too "handicapped" girls, was unheard of. Generally, families of such children can barely afford feeding them, let alone educating them. Under these circumstances, Shri Kunvarjibhai Chhotalal Kothari's family ventured with Vidyamandir to board the visually Divyang girls and educate them in the institutions of Vidyamandir. The task undertaken was not just to provide these girls a safe atmosphere to live in, it was also to ensure that they were properly nourished and facilitated to receive academic and moral education. This hostel was renovated to include more amenities in 2021 with the benevolent funds received from M/s. D. Navinchandra Exports. Pvt. Ltd.
