"Occupational therapy is the art and science of directing man’s response to selected activities to promote and maintain health, to prevent disability, to evaluate behavior, and to treat or train patients with physical or psychosocial dysfunction."
The American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. Executive Board (1968)
This centre is dedicated to special children suffering from physical or mental disabilities like autism, dyslexia, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, and ADHD. Our experts help children reestablish themselves in society by teaching them to lead their lives independently with dignity. Our students practise doing daily activities while learning social etiquette and communication skills through group activities, play therapy, fine and gross motor skills activities, oral motor activities, and sensory integration.
After observing their progress, these children are given a plethora of fields to choose from so that they can be trained accordingly. Building and running one's own business can significantly boost one's confidence and income in the future. Being an entrepreneur himself, our benefactor, Shri Rameshbhai Mangaljibhai Mehta, was keenly interested in encouraging people to turn toward start-ups. To his credit, we were able to initiate our occupational therapy centre in 1990 to help our students overcome their physical or mental shortcomings, realise their field of interest, and become professionals.
