History
Since Banaskantha was devoid of training colleges for primary teachers, students had to go to Ahmedabad or Sabarkantha to earn their degrees. It also led to a severe shortage of adept teachers in the primary schools in the district. With the charity of the Shree Chhotalal Keshavlal Mehta Charitable Trust, Vidyamandir instituted Shree C.K.Mehta College of Primary Education in 1972 and began producing excellent teachers for local schools through internships and a thoroughly planned curriculum.
Why PTC?PTC is a 2-year diploma course required for teaching jobs in the primary section. We have our own school, Shree C.K.Mehta Practicing School, which serves as a laboratory to examine the effectiveness of various innovations in education. The school students also benefit from our trainees being guided by our experts.
Course Contents
Our affiliation is with the N.C.T.E., the Department of Primary Education, and the Rajyapariksha Board. The course we offer builds our trainees’ talents and accuracy in teaching-learning, action research, student assessment, and evaluation. We train our trainees for the TET and CTET exams, and we offer them 100% placement assistance.
