After building Mamtamandir, which is a conglomerate of various institutions for the Divyang, Vidyamandir constituted the Diploma College College of Special Education in 2012. The purpose of this college is to develop educators who specialise in facilitating children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Over the years, our college has been successful in clearing up most misconceptions people have had about special education with regular seminars and events. Every year, many enthusiasts come to us to learn how to build a more promising future for those who can do wonders if guided correctly. Mamtamandir and all the inclusive schools of our trust act as workshops for our trainees where they get to apply the theories they learn in class under the supervision of their professors.

We believe in building intellectuals who can contribute more to the field than training students to become conventional teachers. With our excellent faculty on board, our students find their flair for innovating powerful teaching methods. As newer disabilities are coming to light, we need fresher approaches to counter them.

We are an RCI-recognised institution affiliated with the National Institute for Empowerment of Multiple Disabilities. Our two-year course makes students eligible to work as teachers in special, inclusive, and regular schools at the primary level. A Diploma in Special Education is equivalent to a PTC/D.ED.
