As Palanpur serves as the administrative headquarters of Banaskantha, many Government employees relocate to this city from different states. Back in the day, such people always found it tough to educate their children. This dearth of English medium schools inspired Vidyamandir to accept the challenges of opening the first English Medium School of Palanpur as well as Banaskantha. Shri Kirtilal Manilal Mehta, a distinguished businessman of international repute, who always made his hometown, Palanpur proud of his accomplishments and benevolence, came forward to support this project. He dedicated his contributions to his beloved mother, Smt. Menaben Manilal Mehta, hence the school was named after her.
Founded in 1984, this institution became a full-fledged school in 1991 after the inclusion of the secondary section in Vidyamandir. By 1994, its first batch of SSC students took the State Board exams. This school strives to provide teenagers a formative and liberal education to develop their confidence, efficiency, character, social etiquette, and personality.
With 208 students and a staff of 9, it is situated on our Shri A. D. Lohani Campus, Vidyamandir, Palanpur.
The school hours are 7:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday and 11:00 a.m. to 5:40 p.m. on Saturdays.
The first Saturday of every month is reserved for parent-teacher meetings.
