The students of Smt.M.M. Mehta English Medium School (Std. 6 to 8) class 6 & 7 visited the polo forest, a 150 km picnic destination near Himmatnagar on 22/09/2019. It is an abode to various plant and bird species . The forest has ruins of several 15th-century Hindu and Jain temples, these temples are restored and managed by the state archaeology department. The name Polo is derived from pol which literally means a gate in Marwari language . The departure from school was at 7:00 a.m. by school bus and arrival at 8:00 p.m. Breakfast, lunch was provided from school. Students enjoyed trekking and playing in shallow waters.
