The Corona pandemic has caused catastrophe all over the world. A lockdown has been declared across the country by the Government to save the people from this epidemic. Due to this, all educational institutions of the country and Gujarat are closed for the last one month.
With the aim of keeping the students engaged in educational activities and not depriving them of education in such difficult times, online education has been started in all the educational institutions of Vidyamandir Trust. For students of Primary Section, respective class teacher is sending a topic, story, song or poem to study daily. Students study and discuss the same with the parents and send feedback daily. Secondary and higher secondary schools have been running online classes for the last one month. Students who are going to appear for JEE/NEET this year, General stream students of std. 12, Science and General Stream students promoted to std. 12 and students of std. 9 and 12 are taking benefits of the classes regularly. Online classes of std. 6 to 8 will also be starting in next ten days.
As the admission process of the various institutes run by Vidyamandir was started before the lockdown, the admission process has been completed successfully by contacting each student personally who had filled the form and taking online test. More than 1200 students participated in this online entrance exam.
Considering the purpose that students do not stay away from education and progress in their studies in the midst of the epidemic of Corona; the efforts made by Vidyamandir for online education have been appreciated by society also.
