International AIDS Day is celebrated on 1st December all over the world. The full form of AIDS is Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. AIDS is basically spread by HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). International AIDS day was celebrated in Shri D. D. Choksi College of Secondary Education and Smt. S. P. Kothari English Medium College. The group of 30 students acted the important role to make the other students aware about how HIV spreads. They also talked about the causes and symptoms of AIDS along with the preventive measures.The students explained how the killer virus plays havoc with the immune system and takes the patients to the threshold of death. They also urged that patients suffering from the disease must not be victimised and discriminated against in the society. Students represented all the information in the form of charts, posters, banners, powerpoint presentations, etc.
