Young Scientists Spotlighted on National Science Day Celebration

Every year, the National Science Day is celebrated throughout the nation on 28 February to commemorate the discovery of Raman Effect by the Indian Physicist, Sir C V Raman, for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930. After a long period of lockdown, Vidyamandir celebrated this day with a grand science fair. The participants were from the preparatory and middle schools of Vidyamandir, namely Smt. M.M. Mehta English Medium School and Shri I.J. Mehta Vinaymandir.

All the young scientists zealously showed their experiments to the visitors. Along with the students and the authorities, the SHIVAM members of the involved sections also witnessed the science fair and blessed the participants with their encouragement and appreciation. The students who had come to see the fair left with an inspiration.

The exhibits were based on water density, the necessity of oxygen for combustion, Pascal’s Law, Newton’s Law, solar energy and many more. Over 250 participants had seized the opportunity to apply scientific theories to problems and come up with brilliant solutions for them, and one could see an ocean of innovations and creations everywhere.

The success of the event resulted from the support and guidance of the teachers. The exhibition even made it to the leading newspapers and channels of the district.
