Visually Impaired Student of Mamtamandir, Heena Rathi, Clears UPSC Prelims Exam

Only the determined person can achieve success against all odds. This is true in case of Heena Rathi, 22 years old girl from Palanpur. She was borned with weak eyesight and at the age of 8 she lost her total vision of eyes. Heena's father is running a tea stall in Palanpur. She enrolled in Smt M.K.Mehta School for the Visually Impaired for study and completed her study up to 12th std. there. Then, she completed her B.A. in English Literature. She had a dream to become an I.A.S. officer and she worked hard for preparation of UPSC exam. She faced so much difficulty in preparation because of her blindness but her firm will power succeeded her to crack UPSC Prelims in first attempt. We congratulate Heena Rathi and wish her good luck for next stage of exam.
