The Government of Gujarat has developed the SSIP (Student Startup & Innovation Policy) to support the innovations, ideas, and creative pursuits of students. On 28 Feb. 2022, Shri D.D. Choksi College of Secondary Education and Smt. S.P Kothari College of Secondary Education jointly inaugurated the SSIP Project undertaken by Shri D.D. Choksi College. The Hon. Director of Vidyamandir, Dr. Hasmukh Modi, was the chief guest of the event. Principals and teachers from Vidyamandir schools were invited as guests.
The B.Ed trainees of both the colleges had prepared gamification models for classroom teaching to make science more interesting to students. They had exhibited a solar lamp, a musical dustbin, and some educational videos in accordance with the policy.
SSIP Coordinator, Ms. Deepti Khanna, explained the purpose of SSIP and invited school teachers and students to participate in it. Dr. Modi highly appreciated the efforts put in by both the colleges.
