Vidyamandir Trust Palanpur recently hosted a three-day ‘Rocket Science Workshop’ for members of the ‘Robotics Club’. The workshop was organized from April 25 to 27, 2023 during which experts from the start up ‘Vartix Aerospace’ trained 33 students.
During the workshop, participants were enthusiastic for learning about the fascinating world of aerospace engineering. The workshop covered a variety of topics, including an introduction to aerodynamics and space technology, rocket science basics, rocket simulation software training, CG and CP calculations, types of rocket fuels, rocket fuel manufacturing, new hybrid engines, and the need for innovation in fuel technologies to combat climate change, testing of self-made rocket fuel, hands-on rocket parts building task, parachute circuit for safe rocket landing and rocket parts assembly.
During the final rocket launch, 500 students, 100 teachers, and 40 parents were present. Everyone observed the practical application of students' knowledge and skills gained during the workshop. The ‘Rocket Science Workshop’ was a huge success, inspiring young minds to reach for the stars.
