Spell Well India is an organisation that has been conducting spelling contests in various schools in Gujarat since 2005. The post-lockdown period has proven to have its nefarious effects on education all over the nation, which is why this initiative by the Institute of English was to buck up students to read more and hone their spelling skills.
The competition was held at two stages in August and September. The first was the trial round to let the students practise taking the test online, and the following entrance round was for the District Level Contest. Out of all the student participants of Std. 1-9 of both mediums, 144 students managed to crack the test. In addition to this, the following students even won sponsorship for the upcoming DLC with their exceptional performances in the entrance round:
