Dr. Ravi holds Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. He is founder and CEO of Smaart Water. He has done tremendous work in the field of water conservation through lectures, publications and working with various bodies dealing in the field of water conservation.
During the lecture, the causes of climate change, from burning fossil fuels to deforestation, were vividly explained. The detrimental effects of pollution and rapid urbanization were also highlighted, painting a clear picture of our planet's challenges. To drive the point home, Dr. Mariwala delved into real-life case studies from Uttarakhand, Ballari (Karnataka), and Vrindavan, shedding light on groundwater quality concerns. The solution-focused part of the talk was equally powerful.
Building awareness emerged as a key strategy, covering climate change implications and water quality issues. Rain harvesting and groundwater recharge methods were encouraged, along with the impactful practice of tree planting.
