On May 12, 2023, Smt. Chandraben Piyushbhai Kothari (JEWELEX) Institute of Nursing, managed by Vidyamandir Trust Palanpur, observed International Nurses Day in the presence of dignitaries and all teaching and non-teaching faculty.
In this regard, an oath ceremony was held, as well as various internal competitions such as mehendi, rangoli, song, dance, and poster making were organized on the theme ‘ Our Nurses, Our Future’.
Florence Nightingale, a notable figure in nursing history, was born on May 12th; that day was chosen as International Nurses Day. Modern nursing is credited to Florence Nightingale, who also made significant contributions to nursing techniques.
Nurses Day has several objectives. It recognises and values the contributions that nurses make to healthcare systems all over the world. It also advocates for better working conditions, increased investment in nursing education, and improved healthcare policies while raising awareness of the difficulties faced by nurses.
