History
The founder of Gembel NV, Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust, and the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, Shri Kirtilal Manilal Mehta had lost his father at the tender age of 12, after which he left his hometown, Palanpur, to support his family business in Burma (Yangon). Very soon, he won billions of hearts with his philanthropy. In Palanpur, he offered a large chunk of his property to our Trust in 1984, which came to be known as the Parnakutir Campus of Vidyamandir. He wished to pay a loving tribute to his mother by helping Vidyamandir build an institution that became the trailblazer for all the other English medium schools in the district. Later, to prop newer developments in the curriculum, we shifted to our Capt. A .D. Lohani Campus in the Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan Bhavan, which owes its existence to Shri Kantilal Chandulal Kothari and his family's gracious charity. Our Parnakutir Campus now accommodates our English medium Early Childhood Education division.
Our MethodsNot unlike our Gujarati medium counterpart, we strongly refute the old 'Chalk n Talk' method and believe in keeping up with the times. We have smart and interactive resource rooms for each subject and laboratories for Mathematics, Computers, and Spoken English.
A Holistic Curriculum
From Grade 6 onward, our curriculum includes Internship Programmes, Coding, Sanskrit Sambhashan, and Foundation Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. Our students also get to choose from a variety of clubs to cultivate their hobbies. The social and cultural development of the students is our prime priority, so we have classes for intellectual and personality development as well.
