The Founder and His Legacy
Shri Ishwarbhai Jechandbhai Mehta was among those teachers who are more like mentors to their students. Such people always leave a legacy behind them, and to continue it, his son, Shri Kanaiyalal Mehta, helped the Trust set up a school in 1961. Initially, it was only from Std. 5 to 7 co-joined with our middle school, but in 1978, it became an independent Gujarati medium upper primary school of Vidyamandir.
History
In 2001, after its building partially collapsed during a massive earthquake on January 26, M/s. Gem & Jewellery National Relief Foundation had come forward with a copious donation for the immediately required reconstruction. The new building is known as the Gem & Jewellery National Relief Foundation Bhavan.
