Computer and Multimedia Education

Better Everyday’ is the motto of Vidyamandir and hence Vidyamandir is always there to take initiatives and lead others when it comes to keep pace with the changing times. Vidyamandir was the first to have its own computers and introduce computer education when most others in this area did not know what it was. Presently computer education is introduced from Std. 3. Our computer labs are equipped with ultra-modern and state of the art facilities of hardware and software. We were the first to introduce on line examination and 33% of the weightage of examination is assessed through on line examination. The students of Std. 3 to 12 have on line exam once a week which helps us evaluate their progress continuously.

These facilities of computer education or education through computers are not only for the students of mainstream education but also for the differently able students of Mamtamandir. There are special labs for the visually impaired students as well as the hearing impaired where they are taught with special hardware and software.

Vidyamandir is completely self-reliant in the matter of infrastructure, staff as well as study material for computer education.

The latest methodology of education advocates the use of multi-media for better learning and Vidyamandir is not legging behind in that also. The institutes are equipped with different types of projectors like slide projectors, film projectors, OHPs, LCD projectors and TV sets, DVDs etc. We use multimedia right from KG to the Training Colleges. We have purchased the best softwares available in the market for each standard. The students have the period of Multimedia twice a week where they learn more effectively. About five thousand students are benefited from these computer centres and multimedia centres.
